Tuck Bottom Boxes
Tuck bottom cartons and boxes aer the most common boxes that you see. There are two different type of tuck bottom boxes, the Reverse Tuck End (RTE) and the Straight Tuck End (STE)
Reverse Tuck End (RTE)
With this style box, the top closure tucks from the front to the back of the box, and the bottom closure tucks from the back to the front. This style of box can be more cost effective than a STE box because you can tuck them together in the printing process and sometimes fit more on a run. It is easy to store flat and quick to load during assembly, and is a great box for a lighter weight product. Some of the drawbacks however, are that it can be less pleasing on display due to the edge of the board being visible from the front and is not a good box for heavy products.
Straight Tuck End (STE)
With this style box, the top and bottom closures tuck from the front to the back of the box. This style of box has a nicer finished look on the shelf, and moves the tuck flaps away from interfering with any windows on the front of the box. It is easy to store flat and quick to load during assembly, and is a great box for a lighter weight product. Some of the drawbacks however, are that it can sometimes have a higher cost than an RTE box because you may not be able to get as many up on a press run and it is not a good box for heavy products.
Tuck bottom boxes can be printed in a range from 1-color to 5-color (4-color process plus spot), and in a board thickness range from 12pt to 30pt. We have a wide range of board types avaiable including white board, SUS, SBS and CCNB.
